What is an option?
Basically option is a contract that allows two parties to agree on an agreement that the buyer will have the right to buy or sell a parcel of their shares. Normally, the price and the date have been set in predetermination. The buyer has the right to not to take the option though. And the buyer has to provide a premium to the seller in order to get his option right.
In fact to learn more, there are 2 types of options trading you need to learn. It is call option and put option.
Call Options
In the call option, the buyers have the right to buy underlying stock shares. Furthermore, the price and date was predetermines set. Therefore, It is sure that the buyer has the right but not necessary to obligate to do so.
Put Options
This is the second type of option in options trading. In put option, the taker has the same fundamentals but he is selling underlying shares. He has the right to do so but not the obligation to do it so. And the price and date are also predetermined set as well. Furthermore, the parties that put option is required to deliver the underlying shares only if they have exercise the option.
