Mid-Atlantic Option

Mid-Atlantic Option is an option that has the flexibility of being exercised at any or different point in times during the available lifetime is referred to as a Mid-Atlantic option. The different time set during which these options can be exercised are mentioned inside the option. This offers the option holder as well as the option writer with the desired amount of flexibility

Since the exercise dates are too flexible in relation to the European options, it is also known as the Mid-Atlantic option. However, the dates are not flexible when compared to American options. It is also referred to as Semi-American options or Bermuda or Quasi American options as they lie in midway of European and American options.
