Non-Qualified Stock Option (NSO) is a variant of an employee stock option wherein one has to pay only ordinary amount of tax on existing difference associated between the option’s exercise price and grant price of the option.
Normally, these types of stock options are quite simple and more commonly found as compared to the incentive stock options (ISOs). Also known as non-qualified stock options , these stock option do not meet all set requirements associated with the Internal Revenue Code in order to get qualified in the name of ISOs.
